EYP on the move April 16, 2010

Friday, 9am, Porto. The shy Sun shines through the rain-menacing clouds. An ordinary morning, some might say, but most certainly not for these young people. The northern delegations assembled in Campanhã and anxiously waited for their bus to arrive and take them to the place where their dreams have already been for the last weeks: Sintra.

Today is the day! The waiting is over and all the pieces of this XXII National Selection Session are on the move, slowly coming together and merging in the puzzle of a perfect session.

The four-hour trip went by unnoticed, as the delegations filled the bus with laughter and joyful conversations. There were also some motions running around, in an augury of what will surely be a wonderful General Assembly. As the rain cudgeled the windows of the bus and as the skies caught fire with an occasional bolt of lightning, nothing scared the delegations of the great north. Their iron will could not be undone: they’re ready to put up a fight and to make the most out of this session.
